Visual Analysis

The first advertisement that I chose to do is the Burger King ad. I think that this ad is kind of catchy. I was hungry and wanted to get some Burger King when I saw this ad. I believe advertising fast food is hurting America. The number of people with obesity has increase dramatically because of fast food. Fast food is a convenience because it is fast and cheap. It also appeals to mom because it's saying it is an easy way to get the kids lunch and out of the way. The second Advertisement I chose is the corporate crackdown. I think that all theses corporations are pretty much the main corps that is really well known. They run America and have a lot of money.  You can see these crops everywhere you go.

Sherman's Cartoon Analysis

The Cartoon that I choose from, "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian", is when Arnold made the statement about the rock and the wood. I choose this picture because it was showing Arnold that he was one of the smartest kids in the school and how Gordy had his back in science. Gordy was his potential first friend at Reardan High.

"You Gotta Have (150) Friends" Reponse

I disagree with Dunbar’s point in having 150 friends because having 150 friends to keep in touch with is hard. I would say that 50 or 60 friends are a more reasonable amount of friends you could maintain in keeping up with monthly. Many people can have over 500 or 5000 friends, but that is way too much people to talk to on a daily basic. Dunbar says that we maintain to see and talk to 5 main people every day. I agree with that because I see and talk to the same five people every day on a daily basic.
